France seems full of carousels; they’re not limited to amusement parks or even to parks; it’s not uncommon to find one, permanently or temporarily, in a public square. They come in all kinds, even double-deckers.
This one, in the Jardin des Plantes in Paris, is among my favorites because of the variety of fantasy and exotic animals available for children to ride. And the wonderfully-painted backdrop is a plus, too!
