January 25, 2016. Idaho sunset

Sunsets are known as to date and time, but unpredictable as to the quality of light and type of image you might see on your camera.

When I last visited the Idaho Panhandle, after a day of bald eagle viewing, we had time to enjoy a beautiful sunset over Lake Couer d’Alene.

The cloud that had settled over this hill reminded me of an active volcano…

And the above photo nicely captured the “alpenglow” on these snow covered pines….
