April 4, 2016: 2010 Olympic Cauldron at Night, Vancouver, British Columbia

In 2010 the city of Vancouver hosted the Winter Olympic Games. As part of the official opening ceremonies, which were held indoors at BC Place, a permanent second cauldron was set up outdoors. Located at the Jack Poole Plaza beside the Vancouver Convention Center, the cauldron is set against the beautiful backdrop of the Vancouver Harbour and downtown area as well as the surrounding mountains.
