“The Norwegian Job” runs out of juice

Movie fans will remember “The Italian Job,” in which a band of bandits conspire on a big robbery in Italy, using a fleet of Minis to create a traffic jam in Rome to cover a gold theft. It was a big hit in the 1969 and 2003 versions.

Not such a big hit, though, for the hapless Norwegian thief who stole a miniature electric car (the Buddy model seen above) in Oslo and didn’t watch the meter well enough.

When the car ran out of charge in the Svartdal Tunnel, instead of fleeing, he tried to push the car the rest of the way. As you could expect, traffic backed up, police were called, and the man (and the car) were removed.

Maybe the guy was just trying to get into this Norwegian luxurious prison?

If they’re interested, I think the Norwegian authorities could run the vacant cells as AirBnB units.  Might be very profitable.

Actually the prison is more like a resort complete with Bansky style art, a gym ,a recording studio and a library.
