Cerro Santa Lucia, Santiago, Chile (Where Gumbo Was #166)

Congratulations to GarryRF for correctly figuring out that Gumbo had climbed up to the top of Cerro Santa Lucia to get a good view of the city of Santiago, Chile. Santiago is wonderful place to visit. It has a very European feel and it is very easy to get around.

It sits in a valley on the Andean Plain, and has two large hills in the center of the city. Cerro Santa Lucia is the smaller of the two hills. It sits just outside of the center of the city, and on a Sunday afternoon is a destination for families and young couples. On the hill is Castillo Hidalgo and at the top is a tower that was originally used as a lookout for the fort. Today it is a destination for taking photos of the city.

Thanks Jonathan ! Took me hours of walking up and down the streets of Santiago to find this location. Well…. Google walking….

Congratulations to you for an excellent series of photos.
