Here’s the start of our latest travel puzzle, with a gentleman who appears to be working on a puzzle of his own. He’s seated in a building that’s famous in its area, but less-known (undeservedly!) to the rest of us.
Start your work from here: his identity may be helpful, and so may the bits of architecture visible behind him.
As the week goes on, there will be at least one new clue each day, hopefully either revealing more or giving you new avenues of investigation.
We’ll meet again Monday, with a full blog revealing the location and some more about its place in the world and history. Happy hunting!
THE RULES
- Share your suggestions, hints, observations and discussions with others by posting them here as comments…
- If you absolutely know what and where it is….please give others some time to work on it before you pounce. Email us your answer to [email protected]. We acknowledge everyone who correctly answers the puzzle when the “reveal” is posted on Monday in the order these answers are received.
- To leave a comment, you need to be a member…but that’s free and easy. Just click HERE
So, where is Gumbo visiting today? We’re looking for the specific city and building.
Will we get to see what’s in his backpack?
No, I’m afraid, but by the time this is over, you may feel you know…
It looks to me like the albino gentleman has misplaced his iPhone….
Here’s a bit more of the place where the first clue resides…perhaps it will narrow the choices down a bit.
Thursday’s clue appears to have gone astray; here it is again, along with Friday’s. The Friday clue tells you, at least, we’re not in church today.
Saturday clues: The view from the front door, and a close-up of who’s in that memorial…
Tomorrow will also be a double clue…and the last before the reveal!
Thanks, PM! Always good to see the gulls are standing fast n their disregard of our pomp…
Here are the last two clues…Happy Sunday. One of them should ring a bell with at least a few of you (there are 3 correct answers in already).
Is it like a parliament or some such?
One for the Puzzler.
Reminds e of a church converted to a different function. Probably a museum. But no idea where.
