The vehicle in the crash is actually not a Smart, but the point about tiny cars is true: in the late 1950s in Germany, we saw pictures of highway crashes involving the little BMW Isetta, similar in size to the Smart and just as underpowered…the results were horrific.

Seems the motorcycle fared much better than the smartcar! So thanks, but no thanks. I want to be surrounded by a more substantial vehicle when traveling at high speed.
