This is one of the crops grown in northern England, the “Brussels Sprout.” They prefer a cool or cold climate – which they get here in autumn through to winter. These “Triffid” like plants can seen in abundance before Christmas- but many folks from the City don’t know what it is – when they take a winter walk in the country.
Desert View Watchtower, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
Interesting plant. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen them growing like this before either. I also have a love and hate relationship with the brussel sprout — rarely I enjoy them. More than rarely I dislike them.
