British astronaut Tim Peake, due back this week from 6 months on the International Space Station, has done what many a tourist does: taken lots of pictures of the places he’s seen. Now he’s shared them, for all to see.
Esri, a British mapping technology company, has taken his photos and used them to create an interactive map of the world, with the sites of his pictures marked. Click on the mark, and you get an enlarged photo, together with his commentary.
For desktop viewers, there’s even a 3D version available. For more details and a link to the maps, click HERE (That’s his shot of New Orleans, above)
