That’s not a typo, but there are limits.
WOW Air, which is based at Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport, is starting flights into New York’s Newark Liberty airport, with $99 one-way fares posted to Iceland, and as low as $149 to London, Dublin, Berlin, Amsterdam and Frankfurt.
Of course, it’s not-every-seat and not-every-day, but if you can fit your life to the available seats, it’s an amazing bargain. Flights start Nov. 25 with daily service to Iceland, where connections to the other cities take place. WOW also flies between Iceland and other U.S. cities, including LA, San Francisco, Baltimore and Boston, and in Canada from Toronto and Montreal.
Skuli Mogensen, founder and CEO, told USA Today that “To be able to fly to Iceland for $99 is going to grab a lot of attention. Given the reaction in other markets, I’m sure that we will have great interest in those fares.” Uh-huh…
