Ontario’s Niagara peninsula is one of Canada’s best fruit-growing regions. Cherries, plums and peaches do very well in this climate, as do grapes (and with them an ever increasing number of wineries). While exploring this region near St. Catherines a few years back, we came across this beautiful field of roses covering the ground with a rainbow of color, not unlike the tulip fields of Holland. Well worth pulling off the road for a few photos!
