A budget airline, People Over Profits, pledges to donate 51% of their net profits to charities that serve the UK and India. The airline would offer non-stop flights on Airbus A330-300 aircraft between London Stansted airport and Amritsar and Ahmedabad, in India.
It is crowdsourcing the project and needs to raise $4.6 million. The idea behind it is from a British Indian family and describes its model as ‘caring capitalist.’
Founder Nino Singh Judge states the majority of British Indians come from Punjab and Gujarat, and an estimated 1.26 million Indians are in easy reach of London Stansted Airport.
