Germany’s not a big beach destination for travelers, but there’s a lot of summer activity this month for nearly every other taste.
Among the roster of July events, count
- Music festivals, from rock of various sorts (Ferropolis, 7/15-17) to classical (Nuremberg, Klassik Open Air from 7/24) and many more.
- Movies, including the 13th annual Indian Film Festival (Stuttgart 7/20-24) for Bollywood enthusiasts
- History and culture, including ‘Christopher Street Day’ (Berlin and other cities, 7/23) and a 500th anniversary celebration for Germany’s Beer Purity Law (Munich, 7/22-24)
- Sports, including big-screen presentations of remaining Euro 2016 games, and a family fun and games festival featuring volleyball and more (Essen, 7/21-23). Sorry: you’ve just missed the big BMX events in Cologne that wrapped up yesterday.
