Spotted on the Road. 1940 Ford Pickup Truck

A beautiful vehicle, even 75 years after its release, I loved the lines of this 1940 Ford “half ton” pickup truck and spent a long time studying and admiring it. 

The model was new for the year and very popular with consumers because of its improved engineering and styling.  Ford’s chief designer “Bob” Gregorie gave the all-new 1940 trucks their distinctive appearance.  The front design was styled after 1939-1940 passenger cars.
