Sunny Beach, near Varna on the Bulgarian Riviera, takes the laurels as Europe’s cheapest vacation haven in two surveys. Based on the price of a list of vacation essentials, it came in at less than 20% of the cost in Copenhagen, the most expensive destination.
The cost of hotel accommodation, a coffee, a bottle of wine, a meal for two, a cocktail, cinema tickets and a 1km taxi fare at Sunny Beach came to about $76, while the same items in Copenhagen came to just under $400. The surveys were done by hoppa.com, an airport transfer company, and the British Post Office.
Other destinations with low prices include Ostrava, Czechiya; Antalya and Istanbul, Turkey and Sofia, Bulgaria. For the complete list and lots more details from the Telegraph (UK), click HERE
