Japan is one of the biggest sources for tourism in Hawaii, and Japan’s ANA (All-Nippon Airways) is laying on an A380 to carry even more passengers. Ahead of the plane’s 2019 arrival, the airline’s holding a contest to pick the plane’s livery.
The contest is open to both amateurs and professionals, starting today and continuing through Nov. 30. Details are on the official website. The winner gets…not such a big prize…a pair of roundtrip tickets between Tokyo and Honolulu. Runners up will get ANA souvenirs.
Perhaps ANA’s big-plane plan is what got Hawaiian Airlines CEO Mark Dunkerly speculating about making his airline the first U.S. carrier to buy an A380.
