The greatest car/trailer combo I saw this year, hands down, was this one. A lovingly restored 1929 Ford Model A (with 350 hp), pulling a customized trailer. I chatted with the owner who told me of his fun adventure doing a trip from Calgary down to San Diego. He loved all the attention he got at every stop, but no where more so than at gas stations. The rig is an eyecatcher. And yes, while it’s tight, you can cook under a canopy at the back of the trailer and sleep comfortably inside it. Excellent way to do a leisurely summer road trip across America.
Desert View Watchtower, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
