Europe gets more budget bus options

A new pass, called InterFlix, offers budget travelers five trips within 3 months for a flat €99 on the Flixbus network that counts 900 destinations in 20 European countries.

Flix is a relative newcomer, starting up in 2013 in Germany and going international last year with routes in central and Eastern Europe, Spain and the U.K.

For those with more intense travel needs, competitor Eurolines offers two versions of an all-you-can-eat style pass, with unlimited travel for either 15 or 30 days. Low-season rates for 15 days are 195€ youth and 225€ adult; for 30 days 265 and 340€.

More expensive, but with longer duration, Busabout serves 46 major destinations with unlimited travel from May to October for 949€, or with 12 stops for 569€.
