SAS, the Scandinavian Airline, is adding 15 new routes by next summer, nine of them seasonal routes to ferry vacationers to sunny southern destinations. Each of the three countries is to get three of the seasonal routes.
In addition, Denmark gets new year-round service to Riga, the Faroe Islands and Oslo; Norway adds Aalborg (actually the other end of Denmark’s Oslo route) and a route from Bergen to Gdansk, Poland. Stockholm gets new year-round flights to Munich and Krakow.
The seasonal routes hit destinations such as Malta, Malaga, Nice, Olbia, Lisbon and Shannon. The airline is using its newly-arriving A320neo planes to add the capacity. The added summer season flights will mean a bump of about 330,000 summer seats.
