New beer museum is brewing in Pittsburgh

Organizers have launched a funding campaign, including a gofundme outreach to the public for an “epic museum dedicated to beer” they plan to build in Pittsburgh.

With support from the industry and an enthusiastic crowd of backers—hundreds showed up for its ‘Coming Out Party’ held to launch the campaign—they plan to create “the world’s largest, most comprehensive museum dedicated to the story of beer.” They compare themselves to Dublin’s Guinness Storehouse and Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. No small ambitions!

While they haven’t selected a site yet, and money is just starting, their plan is to include unique beer artifacts and exhibits, a 300-seat brewpub, a gift store and a Hall of Fame.
