WestJet and McD team up for a cup of joe

Drive-thru we all know about…but now McDonald’s ‘McCafé’ is going fly-in, as it becomes the coffee choice of Canada’s WestJet airline.

Starting Monday, McDonald’s will be the exclusive coffee on the airline, starting with a flight from Toronto Calgary. By Dec. 1st, it will expand to all 650 flights. In addition to WestJet’s 737 and 767 flights, it will also appear on WestJet’s regional affiliate, Encore, but the date isn’t set for that.

McDonald’s beat out competing bids from Starbucks and Canada’s own Tim Horton chain, but despite WestJet’s reputation for humorous ads and activities, don’t expect to see Ronald McDonald pushing a cart up the aisle!

Looks like McDonalds beat off the competition by being the cheapest !

You’ll get what they paid for.

Surprised they went with McD.  Must have been presented with a great value, because most everyone knows Tim Horton’s is Canada’s cup of coffee.
