Anheuser Busch Brewery Lights in St. Louis, Missouri

A few years ago my husband and I had a great time at the Anheuser–Busch Holiday Brewery Lights in St. Louis. Were were in town while visiting family over Thanksgiving, and thought it would be fun. It was great, and I was a little sad that we wouldn’t be able to go this year again. However, I am beyond excited to share that the location here in Fort Collins, CO is also doing the Holiday Brewery Lights this year too! I can’t wait to go and see what they will do.

SL BldgThis is a truly amazing and festive event with over half a million lights adorning the Germanic-style red brick buildings.  On the complimentary walking tour guest of all ages can soak in the holiday spirit while walking along Pestalozzi Street and admiring these iconic buildings up close.

SL GiftsIf you have kids with you, or just feel like being a kid, they had a s’mores station with warm cozy fire pits for roasting s’mores. The s’mores kits are $2.50. Even if you don’t want to make s’mores, you can still reserve a private fire port for relaxing with friends. You can have up to 8 guests and includes 8 s’mores kits. The price is $100, but it seems like a lot of Fire Pit fun.

SL Rita BarThere is something for everyone in the family at this wonderful event, but it is more fun if you are 21 to partake in free beer samples! How can you go wrong?  If you are over 21 you receive a wristband as you walk in which is used for free samples. The year we went they had such beers as Budweiser, Bud Light, Stella Artois, Stella Artois Cidre and a variety of the Bud Light Lime-A-Rita drinks. They were all delicious and left us wanting more, lol. We were feeling good and decided to take this cheesy photo, lol.

Us at SL LightsBesides the beer sampling, there were probably one more event that was even more popular, the Clydesdale Photos.  Another photo opportunity that seemed to be quite popular was a huge snow globe. I don’t know if they will have it again, but I assume they will since it was such a huge hit last year.  We didn’t want to wait in this long line either, but had fun watching other people post and take pictures. It really helped us get into the Christmas spirit.

SL Horses2The one other thing I wanted to share was the Biergarten which is a great place to grab some food and a beer while taking a few minutes to warm up between walking from one area to another. In the past they have had unique food stations serving chili, chicken tenders and chips, brats and chips, toasted ravioli, and pretzels with dipping sauces. Food tokens are $5 each. The Biergarten is also a great place to take some inside pictures with decorated trees and wreaths.  There are also many other food packages and VIP packages available. Check out their site (link below) for more information.

SL BiergartenLike I said earlier, I am so excited to see that the brewery lights are also going to be held in Fort Collins this year as well. They will be having the beer sampling, a s’mores station and a Biergarten buffet. It looks like they will be sampling Budweiser, Stella Artois, Shock Top and a few others. Here is a link to the Budweiser Brewery website with information on both locations.

Looks like a wonderful setting to enjoy the Christmas Holidays. But to get into the European style of celebrating you should extend your Christmas through to New Year and enjoy 10 days of goodwill to all men !

I was visiting a friend, and this was the view from their house. I could understand why they built their house facing this direction. I was taken by the beauty!
