A fun past time is to observe the fishermen and other critters on the St. Augustine Beach pier. Access was only $1 per person if you didn’t fish. I captured a few photos of the pelicans on the pier who were anxiously awaiting a meal of smaller fish tossed to them by the fishermen. We spent a few winter months in St. Augustine where there is so much early Spanish American history.
Desert View Watchtower, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
