Cuffs and Collars. Where in the World is TravelGumbo (#227)

I’m going to try something a little different for this week’s travel puzzle.  I will tell you up front that we are visiting an art gallery and will provide you with a series of clues, starting with clips of some paintings, in time diversifying the clues beyond this as the puzzle progresses.

Many of the old masters were renown for their ability to paint material, cloth, silk, brocade, and metals or jewels with painstaking attention to detail. This collection attempts to show the amazing ability of some of these masters.

Progressively revealing (and easier) clues will be forthcoming daily to help you solve the puzzle…Keep checking in, observing, suggesting, reading and commenting along with your fellow readers.

THE RULES

  1. Share your suggestions, hints, observations and discussions with others by posting them here as comments…
  2. If you absolutely know what and where it is….please give others some time to work on it  before you pounce.  Email us your answer to [email protected] We acknowledge everyone who correctly answers the puzzle when the ‘reveal’ is posted on Monday in the order these answers are received.
  3. To leave a comment, you need to be a member…but that’s free and easy.  Just click HERE

We need you to identify the building that Gumbo is visiting this week and the city in which it’s located.  Here are your first clues:
