Disney is building Star Wars theme parks in Orlando and Anaheim, and Orlando’s will have a hotel to match, with rooms and public spaces resembling the interiors of a Star Wars spaceship.
Bob Chapek, Disney’s Park and Resorts Chairman, told a fan group that “From the second you arrive, you will become a part of a Star Wars story! You’ll immediately become a citizen of the galaxy and experience all that entails, including dressing up in the proper attire.”
Each two-night stay will be a “narrative event,” including mixing with film characters in uniform who will be roaming hallways and providing lightsaber and pilot training. Guests will be able to take part in ‘secret missions’ as well.
If that all sounds good to you, it’s time to start saving. When the hotel opens, date not yet announced, the price will be around $900-$1000 per person including meals and theme park admission.
