From the iconic Space Needle to new towers rising all over Downtown Seattle, the scene seems different from ‘out at sea’ on the ferry to Bainbridge Island.
Since the last time we visited Seattle, one very distinct new element has inserted itself into the landscape: the Seattle Great Wheel. Since London started the modern trend, it seems every city has to have one!
And while the old piers, now shopping and eating venues below Pike Place market, are very much in operation, the world behind them has become very different as Seattle’s tower-building boom continues.
