A thief in Copenhagen has stranded a group of Belgian tourists by stealing their very recognizable wheels: A full-size highway bus painted with distinctive Flemish drawings on the side.
The bus went missing several days ago while parked overnight. The bus company says it was locked and the driver had the keys with him when it was taken.
Police believe it was an ‘ordinary crime’ and not terror-related, although there is actually no way for them to know at this time. They believe the bus is hidden somewhere in Copenhagen or its surrounding region.
I’m not sure where I’d hid a bus in that tiny country….
Of interest to me, why has the company allowed their customers to be stranded? I hope they know about Trip Advisor.
Surprisingly, the bus is either still missing after 6 days or has been found and not reported on, and surprisingly I have been unable to find any further news on it in the European press. I’ve sent out inquiries, though, and hope to learn more.
