My family and I recently visited Disneyland. One day we decided to venture into Downtown Disney for dinner. After a delicious meal, we explored Downtown Disney. There were many interesting shops to visit, but one particularly caught my eye (and taste buds). Walking along, I looked into Marceline’s Confectionery, a nice store that offers a wide variety of sweets ranging from baked goods, candies and chocolates.
However, it wasn’t until I walked a few steps from the store entrance and looked through a couple of the Confectionery’s shop windows that I made an abrupt stop and began to drool. This is what I saw:
Marceline’s Confectionery employees…correction…Marceline’s Confectionery artisans creating caramel apple works of art.
I stood in amazement watching these talented artists make ordinary caramel apples extraordinary.
Although these beautiful works of art were calling to me, I was just too full from dinner to eat any desert, and my hunch was that these awesome apples were not low cal; However, the next time I visit Downtown Disney, I think I’m going to skip dinner and go straight for dessert by heading to Marceline’s Confectionery and indulging in one of their amazing caramel apple creations.
Food as art!
