WOW Air, the Icelandic discount carrier, is adding flights to Europe from New York JFK next spring, and is promoting them with several thousand $99 tickets on flights to Paris, Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, Dublin, Copenhagen and Berlin. All routes include a change of plane in Reykjavik.
WOW, which likes to call itself ‘ultra-affordable’ rather than ‘ultra low-cost,’ is also offering special prices on flights from some of its other U.S. hubs, including Newark, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Miami, Boston and Pittsburgh. More details at WOW’s website.
The new routes from JFK will start on April 26, but tickets are on sale now. WOW will also add new flights to its Newark base, bringing the total to 13 a week by next May.
