New guide to top Italian pastry shops

If you’re looking for a masterful cannoli or beautiful biscotti, Italy’s Gambero Rosso guide has a new list for you, with the winner occupying the top spot for the second year in a row.

The guide gave the honor to Pasticceria Veneto in Brescia, run by Iginio Massari, one of the judges on Italian MasterChef, and trainer of the Italian team for the annual ‘Pastry World Cup.’ Yes, there is one.

Ratings for 560 shops in the guide are based on form, substance, flavor and other criteria, with points awarded.
