Almada, the smaller city that includes neighborhoods just across the Tagus River from Lisbon, has its own share of the area’s frequent street murals.
These images are from an abandoned warehouse area along Rua Ginjal, facing the waterfront. They were some of the best we saw on our recent trip.
The buildings face a narrow walk along the river, where locals come to fish. We saw some signs of occupation and development starting in the area, which may mean the end for the area as a center for informal artwork.
