Britain has a bunch of new museums opening this year, some of them as interesting for their form as for their exhibits. That’s certainly true for the new branch of the Victoria and Albert on the River Tay in Dundee, Scotland, above.
The new V&A, first outside London, and Scotland’s first design museum, opens in September.
Others scheduled this year include the re-opening of the Royal Academy in May, with daylight galleries and its first facade cleaning ever; the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and a new exhibit space in the upper levels of Westminster Abbey.
