Sunset comes early in Iceland in the winter; this image was made about 5:30 pm in February, limiting the palette but leaving details sharp. The view is of the Frikirk, or Independent Church, on the edge of Reykjavik’s mid-town lake, Tjörnin.
The church, built in 1901, is a wooden building with Gothic styling.
