A new walkway in Mogelsberg, in eastern Switzerland is open, allowing visitors to walk through the treetops, and look down to the forest floor, as well as view distant landmarks.
It’s Switzerland’s first treetop walk, an idea that’s becoming popular elsewhere as well. It’s near St. Gallen and its UNESCO-listed abbey; the views from the walk, which is open to walkers and baby strollers, extend jall the way out to the Churfirsten mountains and Appenzell.
The walk will be open until October, when it will close for the season. Entry costs 15 Swiss francs, or 8 for children.
