Alghero, called “Barceloneta” by locals, is located in the province of Sassari. The city is home to Bombarde Beach, II Lazaretto Beach and Mugoni Beach, 3 beautiful beaches with powdery sand, shallow and crystal clear waters. We cannot forget to mention the Grotta di Neptuno, an impressive natural cave located in Cabo Caccia where you can see stalactites and stalagmites.

Taking the road to Porto Torres and then to Stintino, you will find one of the most beautiful beaches in the island “Pelosa Beach”. Furthermore, in this area, you will discover “La Pelosa tower” and “Asinara National Park”.

Before visiting Emerald Coast, it could be interesting to visit Castellsardo and its best-known beach “Isola Rosa”. Continuing towards the north we find Santa Teresa di Gallura, a beautiful town famous for its white houses and its idyllic environment. In this small town, you can see the Torre Spagnola and the stunning beach “Rena Bianca”.

Emerald Coast

It’s time to talk about Emerald Coast. It is one of the best-known coastal areas of Italy, perfect for Sardinia Holidays. Thanks to its white sand beaches, this area is the most demanded destination for both local and international multimillionaires. The main cities and towns in the area are Arzachena (with a very beautiful historical centre), Olbia, Porto Cervo, Liscia di Vacca, Capriccioli and Romazzino. To make the most out of your holidays, we suggest you book hotels online in advance so you can get the best value.

North Sardinia offer us idyllic areas like San Teodoro with its spectacular beach “La Cinta”, a beach of powdery sand and crystal clear water in the open sea.

From San Teodoro, going down a little further south, we find Dorgali (typical rustic village) about 20 minutes away, and with the beautiful Cala Gonone. If you like coves and want to enjoy the Gulf of Orosei, you can spend a couple of days in this area and explore beautiful coves like Cala Gloritze and Cala Mariolu.

Departing from Dorgali, we cross the island from East to West to get to know the town of Bosa. On this route, you can take advantage of and deviate and see the natural reserve of the Sinis Peninsula. Bosa is one of the towns that preserve buildings of the typical Mediterranean and Sardinian architecture.

This beautiful north offers us one of the best areas for the perfect summer holidays! With all these beaches, cities and beautiful towns to enjoy, we are sure you will spend unforgettable holidays.
