Cops break up Trevi Fountain selfie fight

The song says ‘three coins in a fountain,’ but this year’s Trevi Fountain story isn’t about the romance of Rome, but a pointless fight over selfies.

Rome police ended up charging a group of tourists with violence after a fight broke out at the famous fountain between a 19-year-old Dutch woman and a 44-year-old American woman. Both wanted selfies at the fountain, and both wanted them right NOW, and right at THIS spot.

When the two women began exchanging slaps and punches, with family members joining in, two cops separated the groups, but the fight resumed and required two more officers to put an end to it, and file charges against both sides.
