JetBlue announced last Tuesday it is adding cities, dropping cities and adding flights on existing routes, keeping up with demand and hopes for growth.
Added routes include Fort Lauderdale to Guayaquil, Ecuador, Phoenix, Arizona and St. Maarten. Guayaquil is a new destination for the airline. It’s also adding service between Boston and Rochester, NY, and between Providence and West Palm Beach.
In addition to the new routes, more than two dozen frequencies will be added on routes to and from Boston, New York, Hartford, Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.
Leaving the list are all services from Washington Dulles, although Washington Reagan remaining on the map; Daytona Beach, FL and St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Also dropped, service from Fort Lauderdale to Baltimore, Detroit, Pittsburgh and Long Beach, CA, as well as between Orlando and Baltimore. A route from San Juan, PR to Santiago, DR will also be dropped. Service from JFK to Portland, ME will switch to summer only.
