Passport Index regularly releases the list of most powerful passports, and Singapore has ranked first with a score of 166 for the year 2018. The second spot, with 165 points each, is shared by Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Norway, Netherlands, South Korea, and the US.
Looking only at the subcontinent countries, we find the Indian passport to be the strongest, with 66 points, followed by Sri Lanka at 45 points. Bangladesh comes next with 44 points, while Pakistan’s score is 36 points.
The Pakistani passport, in fact, is ranked the third-last in the world, above only Afghanistan (30 points) and Iraq (33 points).
