Hawaiian Airlines is adding Boston to its nonstop routes from Honolulu, and hooking up with Boston’s dominant carrier for flights on to 26 JetBlue destinations, starting April 4.
Under an expanded codeshare arrangement between the two, JetBlue will sell tickets to Hawaii from 26 eastern cities including Washington, Philadelphia and Baltimore, using the Boston connection, and Hawaiian will be able to book its passengers on JetBlue to those cities. Loyalty members will earn points on their favored airline.
The route, which will be flown on Hawaiian’s A330s, will be the longest U.S. domestic flight at 5,095 miles, just beating out its own current record-holder, New York to Honolulu at 4,983 miles. Flight time will be about 11-and-a-half hours.
