AA reaching out to smaller cities in new sked

American Airlines is mobilizing a fleet of mostly Embraer regional jets to open up new connections to its hubs from smaller cities, including its first-ever service to Montana’s Glacier National Park. The new schedules will start flying in the spring.

Dallas/Fort Work gets new year-round flights to San Luis Obispo, CA and Harrisburg, PA, and seasonal flights to Myrtle Beach, SC, Santa Rosa, CA and Kalispell, Montana, home of Glacier Park.

Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington each get one new route. Washington’s is summer service to Melbourne, FL, while Philadelphia gets summer service to Halifax. Phoenix gets year-round service, an an A320, to Raleigh Durham, NC. Los Angeles is adding flights to Glacier and to Santa Rosa, CA.

Chicago is also getting summer service to Glacier and to Durango, CO, as well as a year-round flight to Manchester, NH, an alternate airport for Boston

New York Laguardia, where new gates are opening in the coming year, is getting a year-round flight to Columbia, SC, and summer service to Asheville, NC, Daytona Beach, FL, Jackson, WY and an international route to Halifax.
