The al Qasr hotel is said to be one of the finest in Dubai — the place was designed with a Sheikh’s summer palace as its theme. I walked by on a hot day and thought I’d give the place a closer look — maybe get a cold drink as well. I wish I could tell you what it was like on the inside, but I wasn’t allow to enter the grounds, much less the hotel.
I did enjoy the statues of golden Arabian horses prancing on the lawn of the driveway, and these I was allowed to photograph before being escorted off the property.
