ANA goes kabuki for safety video

Japan’s ANA has come up with one of the most unusual and fully-produced safety videos you’ll ever see, blending the usual seatbelt, oxygen and exit routines with movements and costumes from traditional kabuki theatre.

Integrated with the kabuki performance are occasional appearances of “invisible” stagehands helping along the action and carrying props. Although in traditional theater they are dressed in black, ANA has dressed them in its blue and white signature colors.

Originally debuted in December on domestic flights, the international version is now being rolled out on all flights.
