April 2, 2019: Assos, Turkey: A Long History

Assos was founded from 1000 to 900 BC by Aeolian colonists from Lesbos. Located south of Canakkale, Turkey, its settlers built a Temple of Athena in 530 BC. Turkey is a welcoming country; an ancient land with many mysteries.

The Streets are lined with markets and bargains. Fresh produce and fruits just picked. Turkey is an explorers dream with local people who will welcome you into their country. Very inexpensive too.
