Emirates Airways is switching its 211-mile route from Dubai to Oman to an A380 super-jumbo, the world’s shortest scheduled A380 route.
The flight is scheduled at 75 minutes, but only 40 minutes is in the air, and the crew will have to rush with any food or beverage service by the time the seatbelt light is turned off.
Emirates, whose planes are all long-haul models, previously flew the route with a 777.
