It’s one of my favorite old cars, and the secret love of many more: France’s answer to Germany’s Volkswagen, both long-running best-selling cars that opened up motoring to many who otherwise couldn’t afford it, a role similar to that of the earlier Ford Model T.
It’s always a cheery moment to spot one still on the road, especially as nicely done as this one, posed outside Basel’s Elizabethenkirche, ready to be featured in a glossy magazine ad. Probably not a factory color, though!
