Learning to fly the Wright way

A North Carolina kite and glider school is offering adventurous souls a chance to fly a reproduction of the gliders the Wright Brothers flew before they added an engine.

The reproduction of their 1902 glider was built by Wright Experience and operated by the Kitty Hawk Kites, in the same area of the Outer Banks that the Wrights chose for their pioneering flights.

The package deal includes a four-hour experience with flying lessons, a history lesson and five flights across the dunes. The cost is $399 a person, or $349 apiece for groups of four.
