Earlier this year we spent a long weekend in Idaho Springs and had a great time. We had a great time walking and doing some sight-seeing. We also had to opportunity to check out a few of the local restaurants.
One of the places we visited is a BBQ called Smokin Yard’s. It was a nice restaurant, but the thing that caught my attention was the pig statue out front. It was wearing a white chef hat and was smoking a cigar. Too funny.
A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
I was visiting a friend, and this was the view from their house. I could understand why they built their house facing this direction. I was taken by the beauty!
