Major Monet show coming to Denver

The Denver Art Museum, in Colorado, will soon open a major exhibit of works by Claude Monet, created jointly with the Barberini Museum in Potsdam, Germany. The exhibit, titled Claude Monet: The Truth of Nature, opens October 21.

The exhibition includes 120 canvases owned by the sponsoring museums and borrowed from other collections and focuses on changes in Monet’s style as he began to feature nature over human presence in his work. Denver will be the only U.S. museum to host it.

Tickets are expected to sell quickly, and hotel and tourism operators are taking advantage of that to create a number of packages that include hotel and other reservations along with tickets that allow untimed entry for the exhibit—even when regular tickets are sold out.
