Came across this collection of adobe bricks drying in the Andean sun. These type of bricks have been around for thousands of years and are still commonly used in construction in the small villages of Peru. They are made of earth/mud admixed with straw or dung. Bricks tend to be small so that they air-dry without cracking. Mud is used as a mortar, and the structures they make are surprisingly durable.
