October 23, 2019: Pink Sandia Mountains, Albuquerque, NM

A couple of weeks ago my husband Gene and I were in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a few days to check out the Balloon Fiesta. It was wonderful event that I like to see whenever we have a chance to visit in October. This year we went for dinner with some friends at a lovely restaurant called Campo at Los Poblanos.

Sandia-Mountains2It was amazing and is on a Historic Inn and Organic Lavender Farm. While the food was great, one of the most interesting things was watching the Sandia Mountains turn pink for a few minutes when the sun hit it just right. It was the most incredible view. So glad we were sitting outside and got to enjoy this amazing phenomenon.
